Founded in 1998, WorldClinic is a private, concierge medicine practice that utilizes telemedicine to care for a diverse client base of self-insured organizations, traveling senior business executives and individuals and their families.

Functioning as a personal virtual emergency room and health care concierge, our physicians and care team provide immediate telemedical emergency response and urgent, chronic condition management on an on-demand, anytime, anywhere basis.

We give our members immediate access to the WorldClinic on-call physician group and care team, allowing us to deliver a comprehensive care model that places our members at the center of all our efforts.

Integrated

Through our integrated care approach, we work directly with our members’ existing healthcare providers to provide total continuity to their healthcare.

When required, we also identify and vet best-in-class primary care physicians and specialists on their behalf. Further, WorldClinic doctors, nurses and Care Team are constantly following up with our patients, making sure that their health issues are on track to a timely resolution. We thoroughly assess each case, keeping an eye out for indications of a misdiagnosis or an underlying, more serious problem.

Our app and care team enable you to access a WorldClinic on-call physician in less than a minute from anywhere in the world. We keep telemedicine technology simple, organized and user-friendly while ensuring optimal information security. Our EMR allows our physicians to look at any member’s full medical record at any moment. By calling our physicians via the iOS app, it links to our EMR and shows us in real time where you are located enabling rapid referrals and speedy treatment.

Dr. Carlin founds Voyager Medicine to provide telemedicine to global cruising sailors.

Dr. Carlin emails Viktor Yazykov instructions to perform surgery on his elbow in the South Atlantic.

2005

2006

Dr. Carlin creates the first Virtual ER with 24/7 on-call physicians to support high-net-worth individuals and families as they criss-cross the globe.

2008

Introduction of multi-generational family medical risk management program for single- and multi-family offices.

2009

Adds a membership that specifically addresses the medical needs of high value executives, moving beyond the misconception that a one-day, annual executive physical is adequate.

2015

Launch of WorldClinic members-only iOS app.

September 2016

Dr. Carlin and Dr. Wootton develop and launch a proprietary EMR built for the delivery of telemedicine.

2018-Present

WorldClinic offers company-wide solution for organizations.

2020

WorldClinic launches Medical Director on Demand.

2022

WorldClinic becomes the first and only concierge organization in the US accredited for telehealth.
